Lent We are now in the Church season of ‘Lent’, a word that originally meant ‘time of Spring’ but which now refers to the six weeks’ period of preparation for Holy Week and Easter. Already as we look around outside we can see signs of buds and flowers, shoots and new growth. It certainly lifts the spirits in this dark time.
